The scenery at Loch Coruisk is magical - windwept mountains, tranquil lochs and misty views. It's serene, tranquil and incredibly peaceful.
Little wonder, then, why hundreds of couples who have fallen in love with the island choose to elope there. It's perfect for mountain-lovers, climbers, walkers and adventurers!
We have put together a guide on the boat trip, the terrain and various places you could hold your elopement ceremony.
The Boat Trip:
There are a couple of great boat trip teams there. We have had the pleasure of working with Anne and her amazing crew at Misty Isle Boat Trips a number of times. Doreen and her team at the Bella Jane Boat Trips have their own canopy, which can be put up over the boat in the event of bad weather - which makes a useful Plan B for your ceremony.
The boat trips leave from Elgol Harbour, which is another lovely spot for photographs. The pure white sandy beach and the incredible Honeycomb Rock are wonderful - and the Honeycomb Rock, which juts out of the cliffside, makes another great Plan B for a wet weather ceremony.
Even during the boat trip, our time with you isn't wasted! There are so many lovely expressions made by the couple as they embark on their biggest adventure yet.
Who knows - you might even see dolphins!
You are almost certain to see seals!
After arriving, you will climb up a stair way.
The Terrain:
The rough path has a tendency to get muddy in the wet weather. Occasionally, you will be required to scramble over steep rocks, but there is nothing too tricky to navigate.
Loch Coruisk Wedding Ceremonies:
There are so many gorgeous places to have your ceremony. A number of couples opt for right on the lochside.
With our lovely couple below, we climbed a hill and had wonderful views from all directions.
Post-ceremony photography:
We never have enough time at Loch Coruisk! There are so many gorgeous places to shoot.
Here is some photography inspiration - you can go to any or all of these locations... or find somewhere entirely new just for you!
