Euphoria Photography - Isle of Skye Wedding Photography, in the Highlands and Islands and throughout Scotland

Skye's Ever-changing Moods
19 September 2014

Living on an island, on the west coast of Scotland, can seem like participating in an ever-changing kaleidoscope. The vast stretches of lochs and sea, the cloud formations, strange and eerie mists and the weather conditions all contribute to alter the views significantly and often quite rapidly.

For example, yesterday evening, I left home in warm sunshine and, as I drew nearer the Cuillins, a weird, thick bank of mist had settled on the lower parts of the mountains. Driving round these, I entered right into the mist.

Today, we had a photographic assignment in Torrin, on the way to Elgol.  Although the weather was not as warm and sunny as we had enjoyed recently, the closeness of the mountains, shrouded in soft mists, contrasting with the green grasses, on the well-kept crofts, created a beauty all its own.

Many who live here appreciate their beautiful location and many more visit - and elope! - to do the same. The island provides the most astounding scenery in which to celebrate marriage and commitment to each other. We are delighted to be here and be able to photograph those treasured moments in a dramatic, romantic style.
