Skye Wedding Photographer - Norma Skinner

What's it like being a Skye Wedding Photographer?

Norma:  it's probably the most exciting and unpredicatable job anyone could ever have.

Why is that?

Norma:  Because every couple I meet are so different and I never know where I am going to end up on the island.

Does that mean you travel around the island a great deal?

Norma:  Yes, it does.  My favourite kind of wedding to photograph is the elopement and often eloping couples like to travel to some of the famous Skye landmarks.

What are some of the Skye landmarks couples like to be photographed in?

Norma: There are so many because Skye is such a wonderful place but probably the most famous would be The Old Man of Storr, Dunvegan Castle, Sligachan with the Red Cuillins, the Black Cuillin, Eilean Donan Castle, the Fairy Pools and the beautiful beaches are favourites.

Where do your clients come from?

Norma:  Eloping couples come from all over the world.

What special services do you offer to clients?

Norma:  We offer a very individualised and avant garde service.  It's always our aim to produce photographs that are dramatic, exciting, different and personal.

What are you looking forward to most in the near future?

Norma:  I am really excited about another elopement to Skye which will involve touring the island's beauty spots and photographing the couple in the landscape.

Sounds like you really love Skye and wedding photography!

Norma:  I don't think I'd like to live anywhere else and what could be better than photographing people's happiest day?
