Ones I Read Away From Home
19 January 2015

It's very difficult to gauge how many books I'll need for a trip.  Underestimating the amount required is terrible!  I don't feel like myself without at least one book on the go - something to disappear into when I need to.  On the other hand, overestimating the amount required makes me feel guilty for not reading them all and results in aching arms as I carry a pile of unread books round with me!

For my next venture, I will be taking my usual ones-I-read-away-from-home authors: Georgette Heyer and Gladys Mitchell, as well as Jane Austen's Emma.  (Before I read Alexander McCall Smith's version, I wanted to remind myself of the original.)

As this will be a working trip, I think three books should about do it!  Plus the ones I'm bound to pick up in book shops, as I always do on any journey!
