Euphoria Photography - Isle of Skye Wedding Photography, in the Highlands and Islands and throughout Scotland

Norma Makes A Noise
19 November 2016

Today was a Saturday off for Euphoria Photographers - the first in a long while.  What did we do?  Yesterday, we had been practicing some off-camera flash techniques for some ideas we have in mind for an upcoming winter wedding on Skye.  Today, we were studying some posing concepts from our favourite inspiration and the man who taught us how to photograph weddings - Australian Master Photographer Jerry Ghionis.  Jerry is now ranked one of the top five wedding photographers in the world - so, we really can't learn from anyone better.  From him, we have learned to be creative and to look at wedding photography as an art form.  First and foremost in any photography is light and this can be used not simply for illumination but to sculpt and enhance the human form - where lighting meets correct and creative posing equals beautiful photographs.  We have plenty to think about!

Finally, I thought, for something different I would have a blast at my flute.  I got out my Andrew Oxley (British flute maker) instrument and played some classical pieces and then we tuned up Roz' French violin and we played some 70s hits together and just had some fun making a musical noise.  And, finally, finally, I just finished off with a piece of home-made, wheat-free and very rich chocolate cake.  And, the day isn't over yet!
