Jeremy and Stephanie's wedding on 25th May 2015 was a day of joy, sunshine and love.
They met at university - Jeremy was a rowing coach, Stephanie was captain of the rowing club. Jeremy later made the move to the Isle of Skye to pursue his vocation in art and he and Stephanie took the first step in a journey that will last their whole lives. On their wedding day, they promised eternal love to each other in an atmosphere that radiated with warmth and sincerity.
I was awestruck to find that Jeremy had actually made Stephanie's engagement ring - surely one of the most romantic aspects of the wedding day! Jeremy and Stephanie's coffee table featured a collage of photographs of the couple and their son - to add to the symbolism, I photographed Stephanie's ring there.
Stephanie's incredible wedding dress was made by hand by the very talented Joan Anne MacCallum of Portree. We especially loved the sparkly details!
Stephanie and her bridesmaids' gorgeous bouquets were created by Carole at Flowers By Carole. Stephanie's colours were inspired by the soft, subtle shades in the Isle of Skye tartan.
Jeremy's wedding ring was made by Love From Skye and showed the dramatic shapes of the Cuillins set against a silver sky, while Stephanie's sparkled with sapphires and white gold.
Talented Skye wedding photographer, Norma, spotted a gorgeous blossom tree - which instantly made Jeremy's portraits feel as if he was in an orchard somewhere!
The look on the groom's face as he sees his bride walking down the aisle is always magical. The expressions on Jeremy and Stephanie's face show how much the couple love each other (and result in gorgeous photographs!)
Jeremy and Stephanie followed Ali K, the splendid piper, all the way from Portree Parish Church to the top of The Lump.
Guests were able to sip champagne and indulge in delicious oysters from The Oyster Shed as they admired the panoramic views of the harbour and the distant Cuillins.
The Lump is full of photographic opportunities which can be utilised even in a short period of time.
The Skye Gathering Hall was beautifully decorated to reflect the wedding themes of lilac and blue.
The bride and groom's gorgeous cake was created by Cakes By Nicola - isn't it a work of art?
Jeremy and Stephanie, your love for each other shone on your faces and in your expressions. Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day! Wishing you a wonderful future together!
