Having Fun On Your Wedding Day!
13 January 2016

When you think of having your photograph taken, what comes to mind?  A forced smile?  An uncomfortable pose?  Fake laughter?

That doesn't have to be the case.  Especially on your wedding day, you want to be relaxed and happy and have fun when your photographs are being taken.  But how?  Here are four tips to fun wedding photography.

1.  Share details of your personality with your photographer.  If he or she knows about who you are, they can interpret your personality in the photographs.  For example, prior to photographing Robert and Michelle's Isle of Skye elopement, we learned that they first met rock-climbing.  This image of them sharing a kiss up a tree is fun and fits perfectly with their adventurous personalities.

2.  Action!  When photographing weddings, we always give our couples something to do.  Whether it's creating a moment that leads to a warm embrace, a loving kiss or a tender expression, your photographer can guide you into natural and beautiful moments with a little skilful direction.

3.  Find a location you feel comfortable.  On Skye, there are secluded beaches, majestic scenery, windswept mountains and peaceful lochs - places where you can feel relaxed and at ease, resulting in gorgeous photographs of you at your very best.

4.  Bring props.  This is a suggestion we often make for couples considering an engagement shoot and it works equally well with wedding photography.  Having something to hold or do will relax you and incorporate something you love.

Wishing you a happy, beautiful and fun wedding!
